CNN censors vet that supports Ron Paul + Ron Paul's Speech after the Iowa Caucuses

The establishment’s war against Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has been evident since the Texas congressman began surging in the polls, but the previously privy attack on the candidate was made public to millions Wednesday night.

During a live interview Wednesday night from an Iowa caucus location, CNN briefly spoke to an US military veteran and adamant supporter of Rep. Ron Paul until the soldier began praising Paul for the non-interventionist ideals that separate the congressman from the mainstream candidates endorsed by the establishment.

Just when Corporal Jesse Thorsen began to get heated, CNN dropped the feed.

Commentator Wolf Blitzer dismissed the issue as a technical error, but others have quickly speculated that Wednesday night’s mysterious malfunction was less of a problem with camera feeds and more of an issue with what Cpl. Thorsen had to say — a message made loud and clear by Ron Paul but missed by the mainstream media outlets that continue to attack the candidate.
“I’m really excited about a lot of his ideas,” Cpl. Thorsen told CNN pundit Dana Bash from Paul headquarters in Ankeny, Iowa Wednesday night. “Especially when it comes to bringing the soldiers home,” added Thorsen. “I’ve been serving for ten years now and all ten of those have been during wartime. I’d like to see a little peacetime army and I think he has the right idea.”
Almost immediately, CNN’s Bash began berating the veteran and questioning him over his support for a candidate that would want to largely discontinue America’s foreign military presence. Bash pointed the camera towards a large tattoo on the solder’s neck that recognizes the September 11 terrorist attack and asks Thorsen how he could consider a candidate like Paul while other Republicans write him off as a security threat.
“Some Republicans out there have been saying that Ron Paul would be very dangerous for this country because he wants to bring troops like you back from your post from all over the world,” said Bash.
“I think it would be even more dangerous to start nitpicking wars with more countries,” responded the vet.
At that point, CNN’s broadcast became scrambled, but Thorsen managed to begin, “Someone like Iran.” The soldier managed to squeeze off the word “Israel” before the broadcast ceased and the network returned to Blitzer live from in-studio.
Later in the evening, Paul welcomed Cpl. Thorsen onto the stage with him so he could finish speaking as the results of the Iowa caucus came in.
“If there's any man out there who's had a vision for this country it is definitely him,” finished the soldier. “His foreign policy is by far hands down better than any candidates out there . . . We don't need to be picking fights overseas.”
CNN’s latest attempt at censoring Rep. Ron Paul’s message from the masses comes days after the network broadcast an edited interview of the candidate in which he is portrayed as agitated and irritated by a CNN host grilling him over controversial newsletters penned under the congressman’s name from the 1990s. After the broadcast, an unedited version of the interview circulated to the Web and showed that the station had largely doctored the original piece.
Despite the continuing smear, Paul still managed a top-tier victor on Wednesday night, earning 21.4 percent of the vote in Iowa behind Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum. Source

The missionary church of kopimism (Source)
The swedish Constitution Act, Chapter 2. § 1 states that every citizen is against the government guaranteed freedom of religion: freedom, either alone or with others to practice their religion.”
A religion is a belief system with rituals.
The missionary kopimistsamfundet is a religious group centered in Sweden who believe that copying and the sharing of information is the best and most beautiful that is. To have your information copied is a token of appreciation, that someone think you have done something good.
* All knowledge to all
* The search for knowledge is sacred
* The circulation of knowledge is sacred
* The act of copying is sacred.
All people should have access to all information produced. A gigantic Boosting Knowledge for humanity.
Throughout history, various groups around the world have been persecuted by oppressors. It has since taken refuge in religion and wanted a peaceful coexistence. Without threats and harassment.
In our belief, communication is sacred. Communication needs to be respected. It is a direct sin to monitor and eavesdrop on people.
The absolute secrecy is holy in the church of kopimism.
In the individual pastoral care and confession with the kopimist priests (the Ops), priests are protected under Swedish law by an absolute professional secrecy.
Copyright Religion is our absolute opposite – Ongoing obstruction of copying.
We challenge all copyright believers – most of which have a great deal of influence in politics, and who derive their power by limiting people’s lives and freedom. What they most of all want to limit the knowledge. We need to steel ourselves for their hatred and aggression.
- Copy. download, uplooad!
- All knowlegde to all!
- Information technology is not to be feathered by laws.

Pro-Piracy Group says it's now a recognised religion in Sweden
The Missionary Church of Kopimism has one central belief: that it's okay to copy information, in any form. And now the church of file-sharing has finally succeeded in its bid to be recognized as a religion in Sweden, according to apress release from the group and a report on Torrent Freak that is being widely cited. The new development would mark a turnaround for the group begun by philosophy student Isak Gerson. The group's two previous requests to be certified as an official religion were denied, on the grounds that its adherents didn't have enough in the way of formal rituals. Sweden has long been a bastion for piracy advocates; five years ago, the country's Pirate Party was founded in order push for copyright and patent reforms. "We confessional Kopimists have not only depended on each other in this struggle, but on everyone who is copying information. To everyone with an internet connection: Keep copying. Maintain hardline Kopimi," Gerson told Torrent Freak.
Sure, you could write the whole thing off as the digital equivalent of the popularity of the Rastafarian religion among a subset of college students. Over at The Raw Story, Stephen C. Webster writes that in 2010, Sweden had 22 recognized religions; most citizens follow a form of Lutheranism. But the Kopimism group has also studied the Swedish constitution, which guarantees all citizens the freedom to practice their religion. And they say their definition of "religion" — that it is "a belief system with rituals" — holds sway.
Since the news was announced early Wednesday, the church's website has been intermittently down. The Missionary Church of Kopimism counts 3,000 members. But as you might imagine, Gerson doesn't mind if others share in their victory. Source

A "church" whose central tenet is the right to file-share has been formally recognised by the Swedish government.
The Church of Kopimism claims that "kopyacting" - sharing information through copying - is akin to a religious service.
The "spiritual leader" of the church said recognition was a "large step".
But others were less enthusiastic and said the church would do little to halt the global crackdown on piracy.

The Swedish government agency Kammarkollegiet finally registered the Church of Kopimism as a religious organisation shortly before Christmas, the group said.
"We had to apply three times," said Gustav Nipe, chairman of the organisation.
The church, which holds CTRL+C and CTRL+V (shortcuts for copy and paste) as sacred symbols, does not directly promote illegal file sharing, focusing instead on the open distribution of knowledge to all.
It was founded by 19-year-old philosophy student and leader Isak Gerson. He hopes that file-sharing will now be given religious protection.
"For the Church of Kopimism, information is holy and copying is a sacrament. Information holds a value, in itself and in what it contains and the value multiplies through copying. Therefore copying is central for the organisation and its members," he said in a statement.
"Being recognised by the state of Sweden is a large step for all of Kopimi. Hopefully this is one step towards the day when we can live out our faith without fear of persecution," he added.
The church's website has been unavailable since it broke the news of its religious status. A message urged those interested in joining to "come back in a couple of days when the storm has settled".
Despite the new-found interest in the organisation, experts said religious status for file-sharing would have little effect on the global crackdown on piracy.
"It is quite divorced from reality and is reflective of Swedish social norms rather than the Swedish legislative system," said music analyst Mark Mulligan.
"It doesn't mean that illegal file-sharing will become legal, any more than if 'Jedi' was recognised as a religion everyone would be walking around with light sabres.
"In some ways these guys are looking outdated. File-sharing as a means to pirate content is becoming yesterday's technology," he added.
Piracy crackdown
The establishment of the church comes amid a backdrop of governmental zero-tolerance towards piracy.
The crackdown on piracy has moved focus away from individual pirates and more towards the ecosystem that supports piracy.
In the US, the Stop Online Piracy Act (Sopa) aims to stop online ad networks and payment processors from doing business with foreign websites accused of enabling or facilitating copyright infringement.
It could also stop search engines from linking to the allegedly infringing sites. Domain name registrars could be forced to take down the websites, and internet service providers forced to block access to the sites accused of infringing.
The government is pushing ahead with the controversial legislation despite continued opposition.

Iowa Results: Did The GOP Just "Screw" Ron Paul as Promised?

UPDATE 10:48 PM CENTRAL: With 96% of precincts reporting, Rick Santorum narrowly leads Mitt Romney, both at 25% in Iowa. The candidates have wrestled back-and-forth as the final tallies are counted. Ron Paul at a close third with 21%, conceded the race calling himself 'one of the three winners,' while vowing to go on, continue raising funds and fighting for victory in what he termed a movement, rather than a campaign. Santorum's surprise last-minute surge coincides with announcements that the vote in Iowa would be counted at a secret location, and along with statements from top GOP officials strategizing how to effectively take out Ron Paul and diminish his significance. It is no secret that all the stops have been pulled to minimize Paul's media visibility throughout the campaign trail, with many top GOP figures and media commentators going so far as to pre-script a plan to ignore Iowa in the event that Ron Paul won the caucuses, in order to prevent the Congressman from dominating the national stage.Did the GOP establishment succeed in sabotaging the Ron Paul campaign as it vowed to do?What accounts for Santorum's swift rise to the top of polls in Iowa only days out from the contest when he barely showed a pulse in ANY state, let alone Iowa, among the crowded GOP field at any time in the weeks and months before? The Des Moines Register poll from ONLY two days ago showed Santorum at 15%-- a distance third that itself marked a spectacular improvement from a campaign that struggled to even stand out in the 'second tier' of GOP candidates. Both Paul and Romney consistently ranked in the top three polls for Iowa for some time.Whatever the answer, for the so-called "mainstream" corporate-owned media who dominate news wires and cable television (but must now combat the rise of Internet journalism), it will be enough to justify ignoring Ron Paul and keeping him out of the headlines in hopes of sinking the entire campaign before it catches on at a truly national level. ‘Obama misinterpreted his mandate’

Having been elected on a wave of hope four years ago, Barack Obama now faces a significant drop in popularity among disillusioned Democrats. Back then, a historic campaign turned US politics into a pop culture phenomenon. The Democratic candidate achieved unprecedented support, international fame and a record-breaking US $650 million in donations. Thousands of New Yorkers celebrated the victory, clutching an enormous American flag hand-sewn by Obama supporters. But the winds have changed – and the same very Democratic symbol waved in honor of the president-elect in 2008 has been donated to the movement that became a phenomenon in 2011.
David Mafouda, who fundraised for Obama in 2008, organized the flag project after being inspired by his rhetoric – a dream shattered by the subsequent years of “politics as usual”.
“Currently what’s inspiring me is OWS. That’s why I brought the flag to OWS,” he told RT. “And the thing that inspired me about it is the fact that it’s a grass roots movement that had a very clear and transparent process.”
Artist Shepard Fairey feels similarly disenchanted, releasing an updated version of his iconic “Hope Poster” in which Obama has been supplanted by Occupy Wall Street.
With an economy still in crisis, Wall Street largely unregulated, social programs slashed and over 45 million citizens on food stamps, Barack Obama still says that “it all starts with you, making a decision to get involved.” Now, it seems, his familiar rhetoric may not be enough to win back his old fan base.
“He didn’t produce what people wanted him to produce,” says Carl Watson, an associate editor at The Williamsburg Observer.
In 2008, Princeton professor and author Dr. Cornel West was one of Obama’s biggest supporters, saying that “he’s got the vision, he’s got the newness, he’s got the freshness.” West took part in more than 100 campaign events to support Obama’s election bid. But last April, the prominent intellectual told RT that Barack Obama had failed.
“He’s the friendly face of the American empire abroad. He’s in the process, very sadly, of becoming a pawn of big finance and a puppet of big business,” Cornel West explained.
And any American politician knows they are in trouble when the Hollywood A-listers start turning their backs.
Matt Damon, actor and former Obama volunteer says: I really think he misinterpreted his mandate.”
Yet approval ratings show voters are even more turned off by the alternatives, leaving Obama seemingly the lesser of two evils.
It is clear that America's president is entering the 2012 race amid a growing band of disillusioned Democrats. Most will still get behind Barack Obama over his Republican rivals, but with a heavy heart. In 2008 he was the unassailable candidate of choice. This time, he is likely to stay in by default. Source

Confirmed: Fracking caused Ohio earthquakes

Ohio lawmakers have put a temporary ban on fracking after experts say it is certain that recent fracking in the Buckeye State caused an outbreak of earthquakes.
According to some seismologists, hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is to blame for a string of tremors in Ohio, including a 4.0-magnitude quake on New Year’s Eve. It has long been suggested that fracking, which involves deep-earth drilling to extract gas for natural resource reserves, has been culpable for quakes. In the fracking process, wastewater collected during the deep drilling is injected back into the Earth for disposal. Thought to be safe by some, other experts insist that the brine water could find its way into subterranean faults and force parts of the planet to separate. The Youngstown, OH area has seen 11 small quakes since last spring, and now a moratorium has been instated in the area to keep future fracking from occurring while seismologists reinvestigate the quakes.
Even with a stay in place, however, experts say the quakes won’t be stopping anytime soon.
"The earthquakes will trickle on as a kind of a cascading process once you've caused them to occur," John Armbruster of Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory tells the Associated Press. "This one year of pumping is a pulse that has been pushed into the ground, and it's going to be spreading out for at least a year."
Ray Beiersdorfer, a geology professor at Youngstown State University, adds to the Business Journal, “I wouldn't be surprised if it continued for a year or so."
Regulators in Ohio have asked D&L Energy Inc., a company that carries out fracking near Youngstown, to stop injecting waste water back into the Earth while an investigation is opened up. Another quake of 2.7 magnitude occurred on Christmas Eve and prompted state officials to step in less than a week later. Had regulators not recommending the halt, D&L could have continued to operate fracking wells — and only a day before the moratorium was instated they submitted permit applications in hopes of beginning drilling in a residential neighborhood just outside of downtown Youngstown.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says that by D&L injecting wastewater more than 9,000 feet into the Earth, the onslaught of quakes were caused by human action. Officials in other areas of Ohio area considering stopping drilling in the interim as well.
In all, there are 177 wells used by fracking operations in the state.
The D&L company first began their own drilling in December 2010 and seismologists say the fracking has yielded nearly a dozen quakes as a result so far. Since fracking began in all of Ohio in 1985, around seven million barrels of wastewater have been injected in the Earth.
"We fully support the decision of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to issue a temporary suspension of five injection wells in the Youngstown area," Thomas E. Stewart of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association adds to the Business Journal. "It was the correct course of action to ensure the safety and peace of mind for area residents." Source

Maximum Fraud in U.S. Treasuries Market

Written by Jeff Nielson
Spending as much time as I do writing about the Land of Fraud, I never thought I would see myself using the phrase “maximum fraud” to describe any U.S. market. Each time I thought I had witnessed the apex of human fraud, within a matter of weeks or perhaps months I would witness some even more extreme outrage.
One should never underestimate Federal Reserve Chairman B.S. Bernanke, however, when the subject turns to fraud and deceit. This is the same man who told the world (day after day) that the U.S. had a “Goldilocks economy”, where U.S. markets and house prices would keep going up forever – at the very peak of the made-in-Wall-Street U.S. housing bubble. This is the same man who then promised the world (again and again) that the U.S. economy would experience a “soft landing” after that gigantic bubble had already burst. This is the same man who has announced more “exit strategies” than Harry Houdini – with not one of them ever materializing.
Yet even the infamous “Helicopter Ben” Bernanke has outdone himself with his latest operations in the U.S. Treasuries market. For those who missed the news, foreign central banks (the largest holders of U.S. Treasuries) have been frantically dumping more Treasuries onto the market over the past four weeks than at any other time in U.S. history.
Those with even the tiniest understanding of supply/demand fundamentals understand how markets operate in such situations. When there is a sudden explosion of supply, the price buyers are willing to pay for that good plummets until enough new buyers enter the market to soak-up all of that excess supply.
So how far have U.S. Treasuries prices fallen during this “panic” in the U.S. Treasuries market? Zero. To comprehend the absolute absurdity of this situation requires adding one more piece of data to our scenario: U.S. Treasuries prices are currently at their highest level in history – despite the fact that the United States has never been less solvent...
...We thus have the one-and-only “exception” to the bankers’ Market Principle that it’s always best to hide their manipulation of markets: when the sheep are spooked so badly that they are reassured to be told that a market is being manipulated.
There is yet one more reason to find this latest episode of Treasuries-fraud to be especially alarming. Generally anyone engaging in such a massive, serial fraud would make efforts todisguise their actions. Yet here we have absolutely no attempt to do so.
Had the Fed’s fraudsters allowed Treasuries prices to decline at least modestly during this latest panic in the U.S. bond market, then at least they could have made a semi-plausible claim that (somehow) a herd of new sheep had suddenly and miraculously shown up to buy that massive amount of unwanted bonds (at near-record prices). Instead we have a farce so utterly absurd that it should not fool anyone with the brain-power to be able to count their fingers and toes (with only a minimal number of mistakes): infinite buyers lining-up to buy worthless U.S. Treasuries at the highest prices in history – despite there being zero visible buyers in this market.
I would suggest that it is impossible to construct a more outrageous scenario, even in totally hypothetical terms. On that basis it seems entirely reasonable to dub these latest events “maximum fraud”.
