#HEforSHE Ain't For Me

Emma Watson’s #HeForShe: Salvage Or Savage? Both!

By At the beginning of modern feminism in 1848 at the Seneca Falls Conference, Frederick Douglass called for men to shut the fuck up and leave the business of women’s rights to women:
Men have very little business here as speakers, anyhow; and if they come here at all they should take back benches and wrap themselves in silence. For this is an International Council, not of men, but of women, and woman should have all the say in it. This is her day in court. I do not mean to exalt the intellect of woman above man’s; but I have heard many men speak on this subject, some of them the most eloquent to be found anywhere in the country; and I believe no man, however gifted with thought and speech, can voice the wrongs and present the demands of women with the skill and effect, with the power and authority of woman herself. Of all the internal contradictions of feminism, my favorite is the idea that feminist women want equality with the same evil men who supposedly oppress them. The twin poles of this dilemma—wanting equality yet hating the men who you want equality with—form the basis of a pair of strategies that men in general and members of the MHRM in particular can use to further undermine feminism, both in the popular view and in internal feminist mutual relational aggression.
Did I just write “undermine feminism”? I meant, “hold feminists accountable for the discrepancies in their teachings, policies, and actions.” Sorry.
An opportunity to do this occurs in the context of the new and wildly popular #HeForShe campaign kicked off by the craftily faltering speech delivered by the cuddly and harmless actress Emma “Hermione” Watson at the United Nations.
Watson’s speech was unusual in that, in addition to the usual feminist bullshit boilerplate, Watson threw some tasty (if poisoned) bones to men:

Meet FireChat - How Hong Kong Protesters are Communicating Without the Internet

You can chatoff the grid, even if there is no internet connection or mobile phone coverage.
By Michael Krieger: Wired first reported on a new iOS app called FireChat back in late March. It described it in the following manner:
A new iOS app called FireChat is blowing up in the App Store. But it’s not the app itself that’s causing such a stir, it’s the underlying networking technology it taps into.
The idea behind FireChat is simple. It’s a chatting app. After registering with a name — no email address or other personal identifiers required — you’re dropped into a fast-moving chatroom of “Everyone” using it in your country. The interesting aspect, however, is the “Nearby” option. Here, the app uses Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity framework, essentially a peer-to-peer feature that lets you share messages (and soon photos) with other app users nearby, regardless of whether you have an actual Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

First US Ebola Patient Was In Contact With School Children

Texas Gov. Rick Perry has confirmed that the first US diagnosed Ebola patient, who is now in serious but stable condition in Dallas, had contact with children before he showed symptoms of the virus.
RT: At a Wednesday news conference, Texas officials and doctors said they do not believe the children have contracted the virus, but all involved will be monitored for any signs of infection.
The patient, a male according to reports, was admitted on Sunday to an isolation unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital after seeking medical care there just two days prior. A spokeswoman for the hospital said Wednesday that the patient is now in serious condition, Reuters reported.
Edward Goodman, an infectious disease specialist at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital, said the patient’s symptoms were not clear at the time he initially sought care, National Public Radio reported.
He was evaluated for his illness, which was very nondescript. He had some laboratory tests, which were not very impressive, and he was dismissed with some antibiotics,” Goodman said.

In His Own Words: How I Wound Up In The Domestic Violence Industry Grinder

By : October is Domestic Violence Month. To kick things off, “CJ” shares his trip through hell with his ex-girlfriend, a divorced, bisexual, social worker, swinging mother of two. In addition to being emotionally and physically abused by this woman, he was also the victim of false allegations she made to the police.
First of all, I made the mistake of getting involved with a domestic violence industry insider. When we met, I respected “Candi” for her career choice as it seemed noble. In reality, being a domestic violence industry worker made her an especially dangerous and potent false accuser.
It was a long-distance relationship for over three years, on and off again. The last two weeks of it were the worst of my life.
Candi moved to DC from New Jersey in mid-March 2012 to start a job as a social worker. When she applied earlier in the year, I didn’t think she would get the job because NJ social services had suspended her. I didn’t know why at the time. Of course, it was someone else’s fault, and some woman in the office was “out to get her” because she was “jealous.”
I found out later that actually she had been fired for making a false allegation of sexual harassment, among other things.
By the time Candi relocated, I didn’t love her anymore. I didn’t even like her. She was an albatross around my neck that I could not get rid of. The previous three years of her physical attacks, vandalism, theft, bitching, nagging, lying, golden uterus fake-outs, and all-around crazy had taken their toll.

#HeForShe and The Fake Feminist 1 in 5 Rape "Statistic"

Paul Elam: #heforshe, the search for manginas and white knights Twitter Hashtag that has gone viral and has also been under severe fire from non-feminists. Also, The Baltimore Sun has come out with an article By Susan Patton and Jonathan David Farley that puts a beating on the 1 in 5 college rape stats that have been tossed around like Halloween candy by the mainstream media and a large contingent of politicians in recent years.

Germany Throws Up Over Draghi Plan To Buy Greek Junk

Tyler Durden's pictureIn a striking admission that Mario Draghi's "strategy" about the ECB's Private QE future, aka ABS monetization plan, is nothing short of converting Europe's central bank into a "bad bank"  repository for trillions in bad and non-performing debt, the FT yesterday reported that
"Mario Draghi is to push the European Central Bank to buy bundles of Greek and Cypriot bank loans with “junk” ratings, in a move that is set to exacerbate tensions between Germany and the bank." It is expected that the former Goldmanite will unveil details of a plan to buy hundreds of billions of euros’ worth of private-sector assets at tomorrow's ECB meeting.
From the FT:

The ECB’s executive board will propose that existing requirements on the quality of assets accepted by the bank are relaxed to allow the eurozone’s monetary guardian to buy the safer slices of Greek and Cypriot asset backed securities, or ABS, say people familiar with the matter.

A Rape Epidemic By Women!

USA Today: Cathy Young notices something interesting in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention figures on rape: Women rape a lot more than people think.
If the CDC figures are to be taken at face value, then we must also conclude that, far from being a product of patriarchal violence against women, "rape culture" is a two-way street, with plenty of female perpetrators and male victims.
How could that be? After all, very few men in the CDC study were classified as victims of rape: 1.7% in their lifetime, and too few for a reliable estimate in the past year. But these numbers refer only to men who have been forced into anal sex or made to perform oral sex on another male. Nearly 7% of men, however, reported that at some point in their lives, they were "made to penetrate" another person — usually in reference to vaginal intercourse, receiving oral sex, or performing oral sex on a woman. This was not classified as rape, but as "other sexual violence." And now the real surprise: when asked about experiences in the last 12 months, men reported being "made to penetrate" — either by physical force or due to intoxication — at virtually the same rates as women reported rape (both 1.1% in 2010, and 1.7% and 1.6% respectively in 2011).
In short, men are raped by women at nearly the same rate women are raped by men.

Recovery? 60% Of Greeks Live At Or Below Poverty Levels

Tyler Durden's picture While Greek government yields (and political leaders) proclaim the troubled peripheral European nation is 'recovering', the risk of major political upheaval in Greece has not gone away ahead of next year's presidential vote next year. As Reuters notes, under growing pressure from anti-bailout leftists, Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras desperately needs a new narrative to get the backing of lawmakers and rally Greeks fed up with four years of austerity. We wish him luck as Keep Talking Greece notes, it is high time that the real data of the economic situation of the Greek society come to the surface and so it did this week. A report from Greece's State Budget Office found that three in every five Greeks, or some 6.3 million people, were living in poverty or under the threat of poverty in 2013 due to material deprivation and unemployment.
As we noted previously, poverty rates are disturbing in Greece

As Reuters reports,

Four years after a messy descent into emergency funding to stave off bankruptcy, Greece’s government is trying to pull the plug on a deeply unpopular bailout program to secure its own survival.
Under growing pressure from anti-bailout leftists, Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras desperately needs a new narrative to get the backing of lawmakers in a crucial presidential vote next year and rally Greeks fed up with four years of austerity.

The UK’s Conservative Party Declares War on YouTube, Twitter, Free Speech and Common Sense

'People who hold power based on fraud and deceit, and who start to lose the support of the masses, are particularly vulnerable to extreme paranoia. This is exactly what I think is happening to people in power throughout the world.  From Hong Kong to Scotland. From Catalonia to the Middle East. All across the globe, young people are uniting in protest to achieve the same goal.'
By Michael Krieger: Some of the most memorable moments of my tabloid-filled youth consisted of watching Geraldo Rivera interviewing and confronting Neo-Nazis and racists both in his studio and on the streets. Often times, these heated encounters resulted in brawls such as the one in this video, which has over 600,000 views on YouTube.
Geraldo and many others gave “a voice” to countless hateful groups on a regular basis throughout my youth, and millions of my fellow Americans saw them and were exposed to their unenlightened and pathetic ideology. This didn’t result in hordes of youth turning to violent extremism or the beginning of a Fourth Reich. Rather, what these interviews successfully did was expose the idiocy of these groups and make them even more isolated than they were before. That is how things work in a functioning free society. You aren’t afraid of ideas, you exchange them.

Palestinians Furious At Zio-Nazi "War Criminal" Netanyahu Speech

Zio-Nazi Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly has infuriated the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
UK Zionist Shill Regulator BANNED Press TV: Addressing the General Assembly on Monday, Netanyahu compared Israel's battle against Palestinian resistance movement Hamas to that of the US-led campaign against the ISIL militants in Iraq and Syria.
The Israeli prime minister is considered by Palestinians a war criminal for the atrocities that were perpetrated by his forces during the 50-day war on Gaza, which ended a little over a month ago, and the eight-day war in 2012.
The Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must not hold speeches at the UN, because he is a war criminal and he must be tried for the crimes his forces perpetrated against us. He is a heinous beast and should not even live among humans,” said War victim Ahmad Zaeem.
The al-Mezan Center For Human Rights, a non-governmental organization based in the Jabalia Palestinian refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, says the international community is in cahoots with Tel Aviv by allowing Netanyahu to deliver a speech at the UN.
