More Thoughts About Women And Violence

By Reading the comments and responses to both my article on domestic violence, and the video I made, suggesting that a solution to domestic violence may be the simple act of teaching women not to hit men, I realize that the concept of the violent woman is one a whole lot of people trip over, and no group more so than feminists.
I’ve read Patricia Pearson’s When She Was Bad: Violent Women and the Myth of Innocence (the original subtitle was How and Why Women Get Away With Murder), which explores our cultural ideas about women and power and violence. Culturally, we absolutely hate to acknowledge that women are capable of horrific violence, and can mete out violence without mercy or remorse. That violates some deeply held beliefs about women and femininity – I certainly understand the depth of those feelings!
I will give feminism some credit for being willing to explore our sexist and prejudiced assumptions about women and violence, but it absolutely must be pointed out that feminism will only engage in criticism of these ideas when they stand to benefit: feminists will cling desperately to stereotypes about women and violence when it is in their interest to do so.
For example, feminists will argue that women should be firefighters on the grounds that they are just as strong and capable and brave as men (even though they’re not, and can’t pass the fitness test).

Sounds Nothing Like Humanism: The Feminist Serial Rapist

By : A recent article at the Humanism.com website attempted (without much success, considering the comments to the article) to link Men’s Rights Activists to mass shootings and other bad behavior. The absurd article, entitled Sounds Nothing Like Humanism: MRAs and Mass Shootings by feminist Merrill “Mendacious” Miller (who serves as an official at the website), is the usual feminist hodge-podge of her “feelings,” faulty statistics, and outright lies about the Men’s Rights Movement.
There is a lot to refute in her screed against men but let’s look at just a few of that liar’s statements to see how reliable she is.

There is evidence that some of the perpetrators of recent mass shootings in the US were motivated, at least in part, by the stud and “tough guy” images of masculinity upheld by men’s rights activists.
Mendacious Miller’s understanding of causality is somewhat weak.

U.S. Military Rams Tank Into Bombed Doctors Without Borders Hospital, Destroying Potential Evidence

By Michael Krieger: If you’re the U.S. military and you killed 22 people while intentionally bombing a Doctors Without Border hospital in Afghanistan, what do you do next?
First, you deny all requests for an independent investigation. Check.
Second, you go to the scene of the war crime and destroy evidence. Check mate.
From NBC News:

A U.S. tank “destroyed potential evidence” by forcing its way onto the ruined site of a hospital bombed by American forces in Afghanistan, the charity said.
Doctors Without Borders, which ran the facility in Kunduz, said the tank’s “unannounced and forced entry” through the gates had also frightened staff and damaged property.

This Feminist Thinks Men Are Doormats

After making this response, I realized there is a good chance this video was satire. But Poe's Law is strong so since I am unable to tell if this is serious feminist propaganda or an anti-feminist satire piece, here is my response in all its glory. If this turns out to be a satirical video, you can all have a good laugh at me for being fooled. Ceara McCord

Disturbing Rise Of The Women Child Sex Predators: How Sickening Slew Of Babysitters And Teachers Are Abusing Young Boys And Girls - But Would They Be Punished So Leniently If They Were Men?

  • Jade Hatt, 21, is the latest case of a confessed sex abuser who dodged jail
  • She admitted having sex with an 11-year-old she was babysitting
  • Hatt joins an increasing number convicted of sex crimes against boys
  • Another babysitter and three teaching assistants are part of worrying trend
By Jenni Murray:  A terrible story of child sex abuse this month has depressed and disappointed me more than anything that I’ve read for a very long time. The victim was aged 11; the defendant a 21-year-old babysitter.
Despite the huge age gap - ten years may not be a lot in middle age, but it is a lifetime to a pre-adolescent - and the fact that the child was five years under the age of consent, full sexual intercourse took place at the carer’s instigation.
The child described to the court feelings of discomfort, knowing it was wrong.

Misandric Masculinity Studies By Michael Kimmel
