Men's Rights In Hong Kong

Men Are Not Strong As Steel - Hong Kong has an impressive number of organisations for women - the Women's Commission, shelters for abused women, women's health centres and concern groups, and so on. The question raised by a motion in Legco this week was: "Where does that leave men?"

Financial Monster Creations

Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert discuss monster creations: from monster hits by ‘Doctor’ Keiser to deformed, evil monster markets birthed by Drs Yellen, Draghi and Carney. In the second half, Max interviews Egon von Greyerz about the reasons for gold failing to rise despite all the turmoil and bad omens in the globally distorted markets. They also discuss the false rumors regarding Switzerland’s freeports.

Latest Poll Shows 50% Of British Voters Would Choose To Exit The EU

Although everyone watching has been convinced that Europe’s disastrous economy and related debt crisis would be the spark to unravel the European Union project, it appears history has its own plans.
While EU technocrats have demonstrated an uncanny ability to scheme, threaten, kick the can and lie their way around the debt crisis, the migrant crisis will prove to be a much graver threat to the project. Strikingly, all it took was a few weeks of unrelenting migrants crossing into EU borders to put an end what is essentially the only achievement of the European Union — the Schengen system of borderless travel.
Without that, what is the EU really? A collection of nation-states forced by bureaucrats to pretend they are part of an artificial fantasy superstate called Europe? An amalgamation of debt serfs and technocratic overlords? See what I’m getting at?
–  From the post: Does the Migrant Crisis Represent the End of the European Union?
By Michael Krieger: What is currently happening between the UK and the EU as relates to the former’s continued membership in the union is not only fascinating, but presents wide-ranging implications for the future of Europe.

Women’s Financial Abuse Of Their Male Partners

https://j4mb.wordpress.com/
By Pete J4MB: “Some interesting points in this.
The BBC article leads with the standard large picture of a female victim – with a video of her – and a somewhat smaller picture of a male victim further on, no video.
Mentions of both women and men as victims and perpetrators, a welcome improvement, but once again placed toward the end of the article like an afterthought, a tip of the hat to a barely relevent minority.
Good info on changes in law regarding coercive control, as well as partner controlling your finances or running up debts in your name, again toward the end of the article.
These last two points I think affect men in so many ways, especially as the joined debt effectively traps a man from any escape once he includes that debt in his potential outgoings if he were to leave.
In my experience compulsive spending is a major trait for many females, and marriage, followed by having a family, then cohabitation, seems to have traditionally created unlicensed abuse in this regard.
Think for men awareness of this abuse is a valuable tool in learning to identify and articulate the abuse they suffer.
If men were more comfortable to report these actions, and such abuses were included in the national figures, things would look very different indeed, statistically speaking.
This would go a long way to levelling the accepted one-sided views on domestic abuse that have become the norm in society.

Why 100,000 Banksters Lost Their Jobs In 2015

By Carey Wedler (ANTIMEDIA): Nearly 100,000 Western bank employees lost their jobs in 2015, according to an analysis by the Financial Times. Those job losses comprised over 10% of the workforce among 11 large American and European banks, continuing the overall trend that followed the infamous financial crash of 2008. Cuts are expected to continue in years to come, as alternative technology revolutionizes the financial sector.
Business Insider noted some of the banking giants that eliminated positions this year: “They include HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Credit Suisse. Barclays and BNP Paribas are expected to add to cuts early in the new year.
FT reported on various reasons for the reduction in employees:
Banks have found that they have been carrying too many staff, as they suffer falls in revenues from a combination of tougher post-crisis regulation, ultra-low interest rates and sluggish activity among clients.
The growth of financial start-ups and apps (known in the banking industry as fintech) is confounding the job hemorrhage. As Jon Peace, a banking analyst at London-based Nomura, told the Times:
Digital transformation could also be a driver of further headcount reduction longer term, with retail banks cutting branches in favour of online services and investment banks cutting back offices in favour of online technologies such as blockchain.”

White Female Privilege And The Domination Of Men

By : It’s a fact. It’s official. Man is no longer ruler of planet Earth. Men lost that privilege way back in the Nineties. What do you mean, you never noticed? Okay, so I’ll admit men’s transition from the pinnacle of power was a subtle one. But if you’d have been paying attention, you could have caught a couple of tell-tale signs.
Equal rights, Feminism, Women’s and Gender Studies were just a few of the more obvious markers.
There we were, the most sophisticated, intelligent beings ever evolved. Expert hunters, brilliant problem-solvers. Providers and builders, engineers and scientists, soldiers and priests. We shaped the world we live in. We were the Masters of our own Destiny.
And then somewhere along the line, everything changed.
Sometime around 1990, human males were tipped from their throne and replaced by their female counterparts. And if you need it a little more specific; White Women.
Supported by Patriarchal Governments the world over, the rot set in and the natural degeneration spread like a pandemic. Today, women are at the helm of society, industry and politics. And the attack is being led by Privileged White Women.

European Dream Turns Into Dystopian Nightmare

By Don Quijones: As a Europhile British ex-pat who has spent most of his adult life living on “the continent,” as we Brits are fond of calling the non-British part of Europe, it might seem rather odd to be encouraging my fellow Brits to vote to leave the European Union.
Not so long ago — perhaps a decade or so — I believed that the interests of Britain would be best served if the country was a full-fledged member not only of the EU but of the euro zone. I was wrong, but it was a different time and I was a different, more innocent me.

Total Dependence

By the time the sovereign debt crisis hit Europe in 2010, the full extent of the EU’s ambitions was clear: to slowly, almost imperceptibly, weaken nation-state institutions to the point of total dependence on Brussels; and then have them supplanted with EU institutions. As I wrote in a 2014 article, it is the financial equivalent of death by a thousand cuts. The EU’s weapon of choice was the single currency.
Luckily for Britain, its government had not joined the euro. The Chancellor of the Exchequer at the turn of the century, Gordon Brown, knew that sacrificing the pound would have been electoral suicide. Preserving the national currency has provided the UK with some measure of economic independence and flexibility.

The Myth Of "Authority" - Video Contest

Larken Rose: I'm having a contest to see who can make the best video to go with this audio narration (which is basically a summary of The Most Dangerous Superstition). The rules are simple: you add whatever graphics and video you want, and you can add music if you want, but don’t add to or subtract from the actual narration.

AFRI-CON: America’s Neo-Con-Artist Empire In Africa That You Haven’t Heard Of

(MINTPRESS): The Obama administration has overseen an unprecedented expansion of American military might on the African continent, with dozens of bases and outposts opening there since he took office. A Nov. 17 investigation by Nick Turse, a journalist and American military scholar, found that the United States maintains at least 60 bases or military outposts throughout Africa, although not all are actively used at all times:
“Some are currently being utilized, some are held in reserve, and some may be shuttered. These bases, camps, compounds, port facilities, fuel bunkers, and other sites can be found in at least 34 countries — more than 60% of the nations on the continent — many of them corrupt, repressive states with poor human rights records.”
Even that figure does not fully encompass America’s reach in Africa. According to Turse’s sources, the U.S. military operates “Offices of Security Cooperation and Defense Attaché Offices” in 38 African countries, while 30 others have agreed to allow U.S. forces to use their international airports as refueling centers.
Overall, Turse noted “that the U.S. military has created a network of bases that goes far beyond what AFRICOM has disclosed to the American public, let alone to Africans.”
