Dr. Mohammad Hossain Howlader Of London, “Known Genital Mutilator”

By : Dr. Mohammad Hossain Howlader has been placed on the “Known Genital Mutilators” directory at neonatalcutting.org.
From his website londonsurgicalcentre.com, “About Us:”
About the London Surgical Centre
The London Surgical Centre (LSC) is a clinical services provider based in London. The LSC is a specialist provider in circumcisions for males, and also small surgical operations. We pride ourselves on providing safe surgical procedures for all our patients.
This service is led by a consultant surgeon Mr. (Dr.) Mohammad Hossain Howlader, he is often known simply as Dr Mohammad or Dr Mohammad Hossain or Dr Howlader etc.

Presently we mainly provide service at Maryam centre next door to London Muslim Centre (LMC) and East London Mosque (ELM) every Sunday and school holidays.
However, Mr Mohammad Howlader, as a consultant surgeon at a NHS Trust, also performs other surgery such as Hernia surgery, Gallbladder surgery, Weight loss surgery, other abdominal surgery and endoscopy etc in various private hospitals.”
Gee, why on Sundays and school holidays? So we can get those horrid little pieces of skin off of the penises of school children without missing any school. Why ruin a good education with a day of trauma that could last a lifetime?
The doctor says he provides “safe surgical procedures for all our patients,” namely hernia, gallbladder, and weight loss surgery. Despite the doctor’s claim, all surgery comes with risk, and the choice to have any surgery is balanced out by its benefits. These other “small operations” are done to correct or cure a disease or condition, and are all carried out on consenting adults who can weigh the risks vs. the benefits. Dr. Howlader, however, seems to think infant boys are not human, since he doesn’t afford them the human right to choose whether or not to amputate part of his penis because others think it may get dirty.
Under “What We Do” we see:

Baby & Children Circumcisions
The best time for a circumcision is when a child is still a baby. This ensures the best comfort possible.

Home Visit Circumcisions
The LSC provides are home visit service to carry out circumcisions for your ease and comfort.
The best time for a boy’s circumcision is the same as for a girl – never.
And, assuming he means the infant’s “best comfort possible,” I would suggest the doctor put down the knife and leave the baby intact and unmolested.
A “home visit service” for “your ease and comfort.” What next, home service labotomys of family members that annoy you? Home service euthanasia of old family members who can’t wash themselves? FGM for girls who stink ‘down there?’
So, if you want to add a lifetime of trauma and resentment to a genital mutilation, risk of death, and sexual abuse, have your son circumcised against his will at his home where normally his family would look out for his welfare.
Under “Baby Circumcisions in London” we see:

What is a circumcision?
Circumcisions are common for baby boys in certain parts of the world, and it involves removing the foreskin covering the tip of the penis. Whether you are circumcising your baby boy for religious practices or for his general health and well-being, the London Surgical Centre is here to help you through the process. We carry out circumcisions for baby boys in a sterile and safe environment, from our clinics in London.

When should you circumcise a baby?
Most parents tend to arrange a circumcision for their child, when they are still a baby, if not a newborn. This makes it easier to manage and the least amount of pain or discomfort is caused to the little one, and they are unlikely to remember the procedure ever took place.
It is crucial your baby is healthy and well, before any circumcision procedure should ever take place. This will help reduce any risks

The Procedure
The most common and surgical standard for carrying out a circumcision on a baby boy, is using the Plastibell Circumcision Device. This is a clear plastic ring that is used for the procedure during a small 10 minute surgery, to remove the foreskin.
The surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic, which helps reduce the pain of the surgery and causes minimal pain.
The plastic ring usually falls off after the surgical procedure within 3-7 days. Parents are usually advised to monitor the progress of their baby, and keep the general area clean.

Dr. Howlader apparently doesn’t know that circumcision is also done on baby girls. From thefreedictionary.com we have this definition:

cir·cum·cise (sûr′kəm-sīz′)
1. To remove the prepuce of (a male).
2. To remove all or part of the clitoris, prepuce, or labia of (a female).
Funny (not really) how we criminalize FGM practitioners in most of the world, yet we allow and actually pay for this mutilation when it’s done to infant boys.
The doctor tries to minimise the seriousness of circumcision by saying it’s a “small 10 minute surgery,” but in truth it’s a permanent amputation of part of a baby’s penis that results in scarring, pain, bleeding, trauma, as well as many other complications, sometimes resulting in death.
Again, Dr. Howlader says this trauma is best done in infancy, and I think this is because an infant:

  • is smaller, weaker and can’t fight back
  • can’t hire a lawyer and sue
  • can’t refuse verbally
  • can’t stop the sexual assault being done
However, the American Academy of Pediatricians disagrees with the doctor and recommends that surgery like circumcision should not be done on infants due to the damage done to an immature nervous system.
Under “Benefits of Circumcision” there’s this:

Easier Hygiene
Circumcisions can make it easier to wash and clean the penis. Bacteria and other germs can usually build up inside the foreskin on an uncircumcised penis.

Decreased exposure to urinary tract infections
Urinary tract infections are more common in males that are not circumcised, however the risk is generally lower for males that are circumcised. A urinary tract infection in early life can develop into kidney problems.

Decreased risk of sexually transmitted infections
Circumcisions lower the risk of sexually transmitted infections like HIV. However, safe sexual practises should still remain essential for one’s own health.

Prevention of penile problems
Foreskin on a uncircumcised penis can be difficult or sometimes impossible to retract, which can lead to inflammation of the foreskin or head of the penis.
These supposed “benefits” have been debunked, besides the fact that elective surgery on a non-consenting person is unethical and violates the doctor’s’ hippocratic Oath “First, do no harm.”
Under “Circumcision FAQs” we read:

What are the possible complications?
Complications are uncommon. However, bleeding, infection, stuck ring, urination difficulty, swelling, redness and cosmetic deformity etc can happen.
lscMost of these “possible” complications – bleeding, swelling, redness, and cosmetic deformity – happen 100% of the time.
Since Dr. Howlader has incomplete information about the risks of circumcision, you can read that here at neonatalcutting.org
Have a KGM (Known Genital Mutilator) you’d like to see featured here? Drop me an email (see masthead) with the circumciser’s name and website – let’s make them infamous for what they do.

Longtime MRA from Long Island, NY , 57 yrs old and and have been active with The National Center for Men, NCFM, AVFM, and continues to be active on and off the street. I had a MRA cable TV show in the early 2000's, and now post MHR videos on my youtube channel where I'm known as jerrytheother. I've attended many protests in the name of MRM - including one leading to us being sandbagged by Micheal Moore on "TV Nation" and being labeled as "angry white men." Well Michael, we're back, with reinforcements!
