PCR: Cassius Clay, aka Muhammad Ali, died today. He was a champion boxer and a brave man.
He refused conscription into the Vietnam War, was framed up on false draft evasion charges and stripped of his world heavyweight boxing championship. In 1971 the US Supreme Court overturned his false conviction.
Stripped of four years of athletic prime by a corrupt US government, Ali returned to the ring and re-won the championship. He won the championship three times and is considered the best boxer of all time, even eclipsing Joe Lewis.

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has died at 74, a family spokesman said.
The three-time world heavyweight champion, who had battled Parkinson's disease for 32 years, was admitted to hospital with a respiratory condition earlier in the week.
His family's spokesman Bob Gunnell confirmed Ali's death in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday evening local time.
